Before you call
What is the fastest way to schedule a technician?
Call (346) 420-5425. For the Houston metro, same-day or next-morning dispatch is typical when the call comes in before mid-afternoon.
What do you need to write a proposal?
The specification sections for quality requirements, concrete, and earthwork; the geotechnical report if there is one; and the plans or the concrete and fill quantities. Attach them on the proposal request form.
Do you take walk-in samples at the laboratory?
Yes, during business hours, for cylinders, soil, and aggregate samples with a completed chain-of-custody form. Call ahead so the laboratory can log the samples on arrival.
Where do I send invoices, W-9 requests, or insurance certificates?
Email info@constructionmaterialtesting.com with the project name in the subject line and it is routed to the right person.
What information does dispatch need to send a technician?
Project name and address, the test needed (concrete placement testing, nuclear density on fill, sampling), the time the truck or the contractor is ready, the specification's strength or compaction requirement, and who receives the report. For concrete, the mix design and cylinder set size help; for earthwork, the Proctor reference if one already exists.
