POWER GENERATION AND TRANSMISSION
Construction Material Testing has performed engineering and/or regulatory services for tens of thousands of power generation and transmission projects, both traditional and renewable, round the country in the last 10 decades. While working on those websites, CMT was contested with a vast array of environmental, regulatory, and geotechnical conditions. With our detailed understanding of energy producing structures, our engineers have developed valuable site-specific solutions which have benefited both price and schedule. Core services routinely performed for our power generation and transmission customers are contained below:

POWER GENERATION AND TRANSMISSION EXPERTISE
Harnessing the energy of sunlight is absolutely not a new idea. What’s new is that the high number of photovoltaic (PV) solar energy centers being constructed throughout the nation. Lately, Construction Material Testing has witnessed our job in the solar sector almost triple. Our geotechnical, environmental, and materials testing services save customers money and time by reducing design and permitting danger. Consequently, we’ve been the favored technology consultant for a number of their biggest solar developers and solar plant building contractors at the U.S.
Along with our core electricity production providers, the following specialty services are often performed by CMT’s solar electricity team:
We are aware that the demands of building and maintaining long multi-state linear jobs. Construction Material Testing functions as a reliable partner helping customers build in efficiencies which deliver projects on time and on budget. Moreover, our engineers and scientists are well-versed in neighborhood regulatory, geologic, and building practices. We work with developers, owners, and engineer-procure-construction (EPC) contractors to keep quality and continuity throughout all phases of a transmission/substation undertaking. We’ve performed consulting services for more than 2,000 transmission and distribution jobs in the previous two decades and endorsed substation and electric transmission jobs across the U.S., in Canada, and in Mexico. Our customers consist of engineering and architectural companies, program supervisors, and building supervisors, to mention a couple.
Construction Material Testing may use our seller surveillance software to help electricity transmission and communicating customers by giving observations and construction materials testing in the tower manufacturing facility. Our employees possess logged extensive time in the majority of the tower manufacturing centers at the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and are knowledgeable about the standards and codes related to fabrication.
Construction Material Testing has engineering and/or regulatory services for almost 50 wind project websites nationally over the previous five decades. With our detailed understanding of wind farm and transmission constructions, our engineers have developed invaluable site-specific solutions which have improved on-time, cost-effective shipping. Through these endeavors, we’ve created strong, ongoing relationships with business leaders in the preparation, design, and building of wind energy projects.
Construction Material Testing has completed services for a number of nuclear energy customers. From construction materials testing for the accession of components to an energy plant into controlling groundwater seepage, to environmental and geotechnical services, CMT supplies the essential tools to satisfy critical needs. Our solutions to fossil fuel and nuclear power customers include:
- Pressuremeter testing
- Resistivity polls
- Soil and Concrete mix layouts
- Website safety training
- Remedial layout and actions plans
- Risk based corrective actions
- shallow or deep well setup, testing, and sampling
- Surface water evaluation
- Groundwater modeling
- Runoff/sediment transportation modeling
- Groundwater — synoptic polls
- Dewatering layout
- Hydrologic reports
- Tritium reduction healing and removal
- Adjacent landowner survey of existing wells
Power Generation and Transmission Atomic NQA-1 Certification
One of the prerequisites for the construction and design of a nuclear facility controlled by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is the associations involved in the design, construction, and production of components utilized in the reactor regions follow the 1994 ASME NQA-1 prerequisites, in addition to 10CFR50 Appendix B requirements. Construction Material Testing Has created a documented quality assurance program for building materials engineering, testing, and review solutions that expressly complies with these demands.
